The city's football club and the only professional side in eastern Estonia, playing in the ten-team A. Le Coq Premium liiga at the Narva Kalev-Fama staadion, Hariduse 22. They sat bottom of the table late in the 2026 season, so a relegation scrap is the likely spectacle.

The city's outdoor training ground, open around the clock. Illuminated health trails through pine and hazel forest for running and Nordic walking, cross-country skiing on the same trails in winter, cycle paths and an MTB extreme trail for experienced riders. Equipment hire at the sports base, plus a food truck.

The long-distance R1 cycle route passes through Narva, and the flat run north to Narva-Jõesuu is the obvious local ride. Bikes, mountain bikes, fat bikes and tandems are hired from the beach house at Joaoru, Linnuse 2, along with children's bikes and seats.

The county running series puts on legs around Ida-Virumaa through the year — Toila and Püssi among them — and the regional events calendar is where the dates appear, alongside orienteering and water-sports fixtures. It is the closest thing the region has to a race calendar.

Narva Trans is the city's only professional club: no top-flight basketball, volleyball or hockey team plays here, and for those you are looking at Tallinn, about 210 km west. Locally, sport means the ice hall, the Äkkeküla trails and school clubs.
