A reconstructed seventeenth-century quarter inside the castle walls, with four craft workshops and travelling artisans demonstrating and teaching through the summer, and Christmas activities in winter. Daily 10:00–18:00 from 1 June to 31 August; Wednesday to Saturday 10:00–18:00 and Sunday to 16:00 the rest of the year.

Linnuse 2, on the river below the castle, open year-round. The beach house has a gym, changing rooms, a sauna and a restaurant upstairs, and hires city bikes, mountain bikes, fat bikes, tandems, children's bikes and seats, plus poles, volleyballs and sunbeds. Basketball court, and a deck looking at Ivangorod fortress.

Pimeaia 3: late seventeenth-century bastion passages you go through on a tour, with quest games and themed programmes. 1 May to 30 September Wednesday and Thursday 11:00–18:00, Friday and Saturday 10:00–19:00, Sunday to 16:00, closed Monday and Tuesday; October to April Saturdays only, 10:00–17:00.

Juuli 4. Sessions Tuesday to Sunday 12:00–13:00, with an extra 19:00–20:00 slot on Saturday and Sunday. Skates hired on site. A useful hour when the weather on the river is doing its worst.

A small family zoo and stable in Soldina village outside the city, with pony rides for children, riding lessons and trail rides. Open Saturday and Sunday 12:00–16:00 and by appointment only, so ring before you drive out.
