Open daily 06:00–17:00. EGP 600 for foreign adults and EGP 300 for foreign students covers the Amun precinct and the Open Air Museum; the Mut precinct is a separate EGP 200. The Great Hypostyle Hall alone has 134 columns standing 15 to 21 metres, and Hatshepsut's obelisk is close to 30 metres.

Open daily 06:00–17:00, EGP 750 for foreign adults and EGP 375 for foreign students — and this is the ticket people misread. It does not include the headline tombs: Tutankhamun is a further EGP 700 and Seti I a further EGP 2,000 on the Ministry's price list. Budget for the extras or decide in advance to skip them.

The terraced mortuary temple set against the cliff on the west bank, about ten minutes by road from the Valley of the Kings and usually done in the same morning. Ministry price is EGP 440 for foreign adults and EGP 220 for foreign students. There is almost no shade on the terraces — go early.

Ramesses III's mortuary temple at the southern end of the west bank, with painted relief still holding its colour inside the pylons. At EGP 220 for foreign adults and EGP 110 for students it is among the cheapest of the big Luxor temples, and reliably the quietest.

On the corniche between Luxor Temple and Karnak, a small, well-lit museum that is the opposite of the old Cairo approach — few objects, properly displayed, including statuary from the Luxor Temple cachette. Ministry price is EGP 400 for foreign adults and EGP 200 for foreign students.
