Kirkevej 10A, a brewery from 2005 owned by around 2,200 mostly local shareholders. Inside is a mahogany bar with 24 taps; outside is a 500-capacity beer garden with two more bars. Tastings and the brewery restaurant are bookable through the site.

Havnevej 4A and open year round, which is rare here. Bar until 23:00 Mon-Thu and 02:00 Fri-Sat; DJs or live bands start around 22:30 and it works as a nightclub through the summer, dropping to small concerts and stand-up in winter.

Rødspættevej 6 at Skagen Marina: fish restaurant downstairs, HÅKON fine dining upstairs, and free music evenings through the summer aimed at an adult crowd. Daily from 12:00, 11:00 on Saturday, kitchen closing 20:00 (20:30 Fri-Sat).

Denmark's oldest folk festival, held over four days at the start of July across the harbour stage, the town stage, Skawbaren and the Kappelborg cultural house on Skolevej. Festival office at Buttervej 56; tickets via the site.

From October to May there is effectively no nightlife in Skagen. Jakobs Café & Bar is the one place that keeps year-round hours; the beer garden, the harbour restaurants and the festival all run on the summer season, so plan winter evenings around dinner rather than drinks.
