FIESTA SIDE
Copenhagen's night is spread across neighbourhoods rather than one strip: concerts start around 20:00, cocktail bars run to 01:00 or 02:00 at weekends, and the club rooms only fill up well after midnight.

VEGA
Enghavevej 40 in Vesterbro, with three rooms - Store VEGA, Lille VEGA and Ideal Bar - putting on roughly 350 concerts a year across rock, pop, hip-hop, metal and jazz, plus karaoke and club nights. Tickets sell through vega.dk and the usual Danish agents.
Loppen
Concert venue on the upper floor of a warehouse in Christiania, running since 1973. Shows start 20:30 on weekdays and 21:00 at weekends, some Sundays at 19:00, and advance tickets are roughly 110-250 kr.
Jazzhus Montmartre
Store Regnegade 19A, an 85-seat jazz club going since 1959 and now run as a non-profit. Sets at 20:00 or 21:30; 250-350 kr, or 125 kr if you are a student or under 26, and jam sessions are free at the door when there is room.
Ruby
Cocktail bar in a 1740 townhouse at Nybrogade 10, a minute from Christiansborg, open since 2007. Sun-Wed from 17:00 and Thu-Sat from 16:00, closing 01:00 most nights and 02:00 Friday and Saturday. Over-21s only.
Pumpehuset
Studiestræde 52: two indoor rooms plus Byhaven, an outdoor courtyard that runs free concerts and parties right through the summer with a bar and Greek food. Lockers are 40 kr if you are carrying a coat.
