The city's football club, playing in the Chance Liga — the Czech top flight — at the 12,541-seat Andrův stadion just east of the centre. Tickets and season passes go through the club's own site.

Extraliga ice hockey at the zimní stadion, known locally as the plecharéna — the tin arena. Tickets online through the club, which also posts the rink's public skating times.

The city's running weekend: 13 June 2026, a 7pm start from Horní náměstí under the Trinity Column, on a certified 21.097 km course. The same weekend carries a 5K, a family mile and a children's run. Entry runs from €36 in the first wave.

Legionářská 11, city-owned and the place to swim lengths. Weekdays 6:00–21:00 and weekends 9:00–21:00 from September to June; daily 9:00–20:00 in July and August, when the outdoor area opens. The site posts live water temperature and how busy it is.

The nearest real downhill, in the Jeseníky north of the city. The pass sits at 1,013 m with slopes running between 862 m and 1,164 m, and a season from mid-December to the end of March. Lift passes through the resort's own shop.
