Turtle tour after dark
In season the tours go out after nightfall in timed groups, and that is the village's entire evening. White light and cameras are not allowed on the beach.
Main street bars
A handful of places with plastic chairs, cold Imperial and a speaker. Most shut by eleven because the boats leave early.
Frogs after rain
The gardens behind the village fill with red-eyed tree frogs on wet nights. A guide with a torch turns that into a proper walk.
Lodge bars across the canal
The lodges on the far bank have terrace bars over the water and will send a boat for you. Quieter, and considerably more expensive.
The beach at night
Closed during nesting season and dangerous for swimming at any time: the current runs hard and there are sharks. Look at it from the sand.
