FIESTA SIDE
Tamarindo's night is a beachfront happy hour that starts at four with the sunset, moves to the main strip for dinner, and thins out fast — it is a surf town's evening, not a resort's.

El Vaquero Beach Bar & Volcano Brewing
The beachfront bar at Witch's Rock Surf Camp, where the sand meets the terrace: El Vaquero opens 7:00–22:00 with live local bands during the 16:00–19:00 happy hour, and the Volcano Brewing tasting bar on the street side runs 11:00–23:00. Volcano has brewed here since 2011, so this is the one place in town pouring its own beer.
Nogui's
A beachfront bar and restaurant that has been on this corner since 1974, open 7:00–21:00 six days a week, with tables set straight onto the sand for the sunset and a seafood-and-ceviche menu. Get there by 17:00 in dry season if you want a front-row table.
Tamarindo Moonlight Market
An open-air night market at Plaza Palmas every Tuesday and Thursday, 17:00–21:30, with more than 100 stalls of food, crafts and live entertainment. It is the cheapest evening in town and where locals and visitors actually mix.
Brisa Mar at Tamarindo Diria
Casual beachfront dining and drinks on the Diria's boulevard, open daily 8:00–23:00 — the latest kitchen on the beach side of the road. NARI next door does wood-fired pizza on the same hours if you want something to soak up the evening.
Sharky's Sports Bar
The long-running sports bar on the main strip, screens carrying US and European fixtures — what you go to when the beachfront bars have gone quiet and you want a game on. No website; @sharkystamarindo on Instagram is where the fixture list and event nights get posted.
