Bar and club on Avenida Pastor Díaz, open daily 7pm to 2.30am. The dependable late option in the middle of the strip.

The main street is the nightlife: sports bars, clubs and taco windows in a few hundred metres. Touts work the pavement after midnight and a firm no is enough.

The bars backing onto the sand put chairs out for the sunset, which is the best hour of the Jacó day by some distance.

Jacó has several small casinos attached to hotels, open late and low-stakes. Also the only air conditioning still running at two in the morning.

The surf hotels south of town run acoustic and reggae evenings, which is the quieter alternative when the strip is too much.
