Island baseball and softball
Games fill the pitches at La Loma and San Luis at weekends. Colombia's professional winter baseball league plays on the mainland coast, October to January.
Diving the reef walls
The barrier reef gives wall dives, wrecks and a resident nurse-shark spot; dive schools cluster in the North End and courses are cheaper than most of the Caribbean.
Green Moon Festival
The Raizal culture festival, held around September, brings music, boat races and traditional games alongside the island's own English-Creole identity.
Kitesurf in the trade winds
The Christmas winds blow hard from December to April and the shallow eastern lagoon fills with kites; schools rent gear by the hour.
