Sport here is a border affair — three countries, one river and a lot of five-a-side under floodlights.
Tri-border football
Leticia, Tabatinga and Santa Rosa play each other constantly on riverside pitches. Colombia's professional league is a flight away, running January–June and July–December.
Microfútbol under lights
The covered court is the town's real arena: fast five-a-side leagues most evenings, free to watch, with the crowd spilling onto the street.
Confraternidad Amazónica
The three-border festival in July brings canoe and peque-peque boat races on the river, alongside music from all three countries.
Fishing the low water
Peacock bass and piranha trips run when the river drops, roughly July to October, and local boatmen charge a fraction of the lodge rate.
