More than thirteen rooms under one roof in Chapinero, each with its own music — electronic, salsa, reggaetón, ballads — holding around 7,000 people on a Saturday. Open Thursday to Saturday 9pm to 5am at Calle 58 # 10-32; the cover varies by event and it is the heart of the city's LGBTQ+ scene.

The in-town branch of the Chía original at Calle 82 No. 11-15: a multi-floor restaurant crammed with junk, lights and hand-painted signs that turns into a dance floor as the night goes on. Book ahead at weekends; the original Andrés Carne de Res out in Chía is the bigger and wilder version if you have transport.

The pedestrianised T of streets around Calle 82 and Carrera 13 is where the mainstream clubs, rooftops and chain bars cluster in the north of the city. Well lit and easy to walk between venues, expensive by Bogotá standards, and busiest Thursday to Saturday.

The city's own brewery, with around forty pubs and bodegas across Bogotá including Chapinero at Calle 59 # 4-07, Quinta Camacho and the Zona T. The pubs are full-service with food and events; the bodegas are smaller neighbourhood taprooms and noticeably cheaper.

Bogotá sits high enough that alcohol lands harder and the hangover is worse, so pace the aguardiente and drink water between rounds. Nothing fills before midnight, and the normal way home is a ride-hailing app — flagging a street taxi late at night is not something locals do.
