The seven-minute crossing of Victoria Harbour, running 06:30 to 23:30 daily and every six to eight minutes through most of it. Adult fares are HK$5.00 upper deck and HK$4.00 lower on weekdays, HK$6.50 and HK$5.60 at weekends and public holidays. Pay by Octopus and sit on the upper deck.

The funicular up Victoria Peak plus the open viewing deck at 428 metres above sea level, which is open 08:30–22:00 daily. The combined adult ticket is HK$182 return or HK$146 one way, HK$118 and HK$95 for children, seniors and concessions. Queues at the Garden Road terminus are worst in the late afternoon; going up by bus and coming down by tram avoids the worst of it.

A 25-minute cable car from Tung Chung over the bay and up onto Lantau, ending a short walk from Po Lin Monastery and the big bronze Tian Tan Buddha. Adult standard cabin is HK$295 return or HK$205 one way, with glass-floored Crystal cabins dearer. Open 10:00–18:00 on weekdays and 09:00–18:30 at weekends and public holidays; MTR Tung Chung is the start.

Museum of contemporary visual culture at 38 Museum Drive in the West Kowloon Cultural District. Open Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 10:00–18:00, Friday to 22:00 and Saturday to 20:00, closed Mondays. General admission is HK$190, concessions HK$100, and children six and under go free. MTR Austin or Kowloon, or the WestK ferry.

A 4.8 km ridge walk on the south-east of Hong Kong Island, graded moderately strenuous by the government's own hiking service and taking about two and a half hours. Start at the To Tei Wan stop on Shek O Road — bus 9 from Shau Kei Wan MTR — and finish at Big Wave Bay, where there is a beach and a bus back.
