Vancouver Canucks
NHL hockey at Rogers Arena, regular season October to mid-April, playoffs beyond. Tickets through the club or the official resale exchange rather than the street.
BC Place, football twice over
The Whitecaps play MLS from late February to October under the same roof as the BC Lions, whose Canadian football season runs June to November.
Sun Run and the marathon
A very large ten-kilometre road race fills downtown each April, and the city marathon follows in May with a finish on the seawall. Both take entries months ahead.
North Shore and Whistler riding
Mount Fromme and Seymour hold the steep, rooty trails the North Shore gave its name to. Whistler's bike park, two hours up the Sea-to-Sky, runs May to October.
