Vancouver Aquarium
In Stanley Park, focused on Pacific Northwest species, with jellyfish, sea otters and a rainforest gallery. Combine with the park rather than treating it as a full day.
Stanley Park train and seawall
A miniature railway loops the forest, seasonal themes and all, and the flat seawall suits bikes, strollers and scooters for as far as anyone can manage.
Grouse Mountain Skyride
A cable car from North Vancouver to a mountaintop with resident grizzlies, a lumberjack show in summer and sledding in winter. Cold at the top year-round.
Transit, rain, Kids Market
Buses and SkyTrain are stroller-friendly and small children travel free. It rains from October to April — the Granville Island Kids Market has an indoor water park for exactly that.
