Banff Sunshine, Louise and Norquay
Three resorts on one pass, with a season running roughly late November to May at Sunshine, the highest and snowiest. A free shuttle links them to town.
Lake Louise World Cup
The alpine World Cup opens its North American speed races on the Men's Downhill and Lake Louise courses in late autumn. Cheap tickets, cold spectating, real racing.
Canmore Nordic Centre
Twenty minutes east, the 1988 Olympic cross-country venue still hosts international biathlon and ski racing, and rents skis to anyone in winter and bikes in summer.
Banff Marathon and summer racing
A road marathon runs through the park in early summer on closed roads, and gran fondo cycling events use the Bow Valley Parkway later in the season.
