Banff's original pub, going since 1985 at 202 Banff Avenue, open noon to 2am with live music every night of the week from around 10pm and a rooftop patio. Pool tables inside; under-18s admitted until 9.30pm.

Brewpub on the second floor of the Clock Tower Village Mall at 110 Banff Avenue, brewing on site since 2010. Pub noon to midnight Monday to Wednesday, to 1am Thursday to Saturday; the taproom closes at 10pm daily.

A working distillery and restaurant at 219 Banff Avenue making gin, vodka, rye and whisky, with campfire-style spit-roast food and free distillery tours. Busy at dinner — reserve, or eat at the bar.

Six bowling lanes, more than 48 taps and pizza at 110 Banff Avenue, with DJ nights at weekends and trivia midweek. Lanes are $65 an hour and book out in season; it is the closest thing in town to a night that is not a pub.

The Parks Canada pool on Sulphur Mountain runs 10am to 10pm with last entry 9.30pm, water held at 37–40°C. Entry is first-come, first-served and tickets are sold in person only — there is no online booking. Roam Route 1 runs up from downtown every 20 minutes.
