Terracotta pavilions holding the best Khmer sculpture outside the temples. Open daily 8am to 5pm, last tickets 4.30pm, $10 for adults.

Phsar Toul Tom Poung sells fabric, silverware and factory seconds under a low tin roof. Open from 6am and winding down by 4.30pm, so go early.

Phsar Thmei is a 1937 art deco dome with four arms of watches, gems and food. Open daily 7am to 6pm; the wet and dried food end is the good one.

The hill temple that gave the city its name, open 7am to 6pm for $1. Small, and worth it mostly for the shrine traffic and the clock garden.

A Mekong island of weaving households, reached by ferry about half an hour north of the city. Hire a bicycle at the landing and ride the loop.
