The things worth doing in Koh Rong, from the obvious landmarks to the ones locals actually rate.
Long Set Beach
Four kilometres of near empty white sand, a jungle path east of Koh Touch and about 30 minutes on foot. Shade is scarce, so carry water.
High Point Rope Park
Twenty rope obstacles and zip lines strung through the canopy at up to 24 metres. Costs $25 in low season and $35 in high; left from the pier.
Snorkel and Sunset Boat Trip
Group boats leave around 1pm and return by 7pm for about $10, taking in snorkelling, fishing and the sunset. Private hire is nearer $70.
Sok San Beach
A long west facing beach reached by boat taxi or an hour's jungle walk from Koh Touch. The island's best sunsets, and far fewer people.
Kayaking the Mangroves
Kayaks rent for about $5 an hour or $12 a day on Koh Touch beach, enough to reach the mangrove river and the islets just offshore.
