Kep province has no team in the Cambodian Premier League and no stadium. The nearest top-flight ground is Kirivong Stadium in southern Takeo province, home of Kirivong Sok Sen Chey; the rest of the league sits in Phnom Penh, Svay Rieng, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap.

A dirt circuit of about 8km contouring round the hill above town, runnable and rideable in the dry months with sea views on the seaward half. Go early: there is no water on the route and stretches of it are fully exposed.

The crossing is a few kilometres of open water and places along the coast rent sit-on-top kayaks. Only sensible on a calm dry-season morning — the channel gets choppy and there is boat traffic — so go with someone who knows the water.

25km of flat, quiet tarmac past salt pans and pepper country, and the one road ride everybody here does. It is exposed the whole way, so ride at first light or late afternoon and carry more water than the distance suggests.

Kep's water is shallow, silty and brown with river outflow, so there is no snorkelling or diving here worth the name; the clear water is out at the islands several hours west. Swim for the temperature, not the visibility.
