Where Kampot goes after dark — bars, live music and the late ones worth staying up for.
Rikitikitavi
Riverfront terrace bar on Riverside Road running two for one cocktails from 5pm to 7pm. The view faces west, which is not a coincidence.
Kampot Night Market
Street food, fairground rides and cheap plastic goods, busiest from about 5pm. Khmer families outnumber travellers, which is rather the point.
Naga House
Riverside bar over the bridge on Teuk Chhou Road, with DJs, bands and late finishes. Getting back into town after midnight means a moto.
The Rusty Keyhole
Riverside pub best known for barbecued ribs, which need ordering in advance, plus quiz nights and cold draught. Kitchen closes before the bar.
Tantrei
Rooftop bar on Angkor Street in Kampong Bay with live Khmer music and an unobstructed line to the sunset. Quieter than the riverside strip.
