Battambang Bamboo Train
Bamboo trolleys on the old line about 5km from town, $5 a head shared or $10 for the trolley. A newer purpose built track sits near Wat Banan.
Soksabike

Four hour cooking class for $10, run mornings and afternoons: market trip, three dishes and a dessert. Book a day ahead in high season.
Wat Ek Phnom
Partly collapsed 11th century temple a short ride north of town, with an outsized modern Buddha beside it. Rice fields the whole way there.
