Battambang has no professional club and no stadium worth travelling for; its sport is participatory — river paddling, flat-country cycling and the whole town exercising on the riverbank at dusk.
No top-flight club — the nearest is Siem Reap
Battambang has no side in the Cambodian Premier League. The closest is Angkor Tiger FC in Siem Reap, roughly 170km east along the highway, whose site carries its own fixture list and kick-off times.

Kayaking the Sangker
Green Orange Kayaks puts paddlers in at Ksach Poy upstream and runs them back down towards town past riverside gardens and villages. It is flatwater, needs no experience, takes about half a day, and is calmest in the morning.

Cycling the rice roads
This is the flattest farmland in Cambodia and the dirt tracks between the paddies run as far as you want them to, with Wat Banan and Ek Phnom as natural turning points. Hire in town, carry more water than you think, and start at first light.

Riverside aerobics
At dusk the Sangker promenade turns into open-air aerobics — speakers, an instructor on a platform and a hundred people following along. Nobody will stop you joining in, and it is the nearest thing Battambang has to a mass participation sport.
Planning a trip around a match
The Cambodian Premier League runs eleven clubs, none of them in Battambang province, and publishes fixtures and club pages on its own site. Worth a look if you want a day trip to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh to land on a match day.
