The best known of Jurerê's beachfront clubs, on Servidão J Cardoso de Oliveira, running a summer calendar of DJs and Brazilian pop acts that starts in the afternoon and rolls into the night. Tickets are sold per event and get expensive in January.

The other big Jurerê beach club, on Avenida dos Merlins at Posto 1B, holding around 1,100 people with DJs and a restaurant menu. Same pattern as its neighbours: table minimums, a dress code, and a season that peaks December to February.

A stand-up counter bar in the public market's south wing, trading since 1984 on shrimp pastéis, oysters and cachaça. It is an after-work crowd rather than a late one — get there in the early evening, before the market shuts.

The lagoon village is the island's year-round going-out district: bars, live music and street drinking around the centrinho and Rua das Rendeiras, walkable and busy even out of season. Buses run from downtown; take a taxi back.

Not on the island — it is about 80km up the coast — but it is why a lot of people fly into Santa Catarina at all: a large electronic club that has held a DJ Mag Top 100 place for years. Plan the drive back, or stay over.
