A commentated round trip from dock 4 on Avenue Winston Churchill down to Anseremme and back, past the Rocher Bayard and the Charlemagne viaduct: €13 adults, €10 under-12s, €12.50 over-60s. Departures on the hour and half-hour from 11:30, daily through the summer; five passengers minimum.

The shorter family kayak run: about 2.5 hours, two dams to slide down, minimum age 5 depending on water level. €31–44 per person including paddle, buoyancy aid, a sealed bucket for your things, and hot showers at the finish. Book ahead — it sells out in July and August.

A Renaissance château with formal French gardens on the Meuse at Freyr 12, Hastière, 6 km upstream. Children up to 12 go free with an adult, adults €12. Open Thursday to Sunday and public holidays 11:00–17:00 from 4 April to 15 November, Tuesday to Sunday in July and August.

The free interpretation centre on Rue Adolphe Sax, on the site of the saxophone inventor's birthplace: instruments to set off, recordings to trigger, a giant book and a bench to sit on next to a bronze Adolphe. Open every day 09:00–19:00, no booking.
