SPORT & SEASON
Two Jupiler Pro League clubs share one stadium here and the city marathon runs out to Damme and back in October; note that the Tour of Flanders no longer starts in Bruges — the 2026 men's race started in Antwerp.

Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium
The bigger of the two city clubs, playing in Sint-Andries a few kilometres west of the centre. Tickets and the fixture list go through the club's own site, and league matches routinely sell out.
Cercle Brugge
The city's other Jupiler Pro League side, sharing the Jan Breydel Stadium with Club Brugge. The derby between them is the fixture to aim for; an ordinary Cercle home match is far easier to get into.
Athora Bruges Marathon
Run on 11 October 2026, starting at 't Zand in front of the concert hall and finishing on the Markt, on a flat course that goes out through Damme and comes back along the Damse Vaart.
Cycling out to Damme
Most of the historic centre is a bicycle zone — 30 km/h limit, no overtaking cyclists, 87 km of cycle streets and the largest such zone in Belgium. The standard ride is north-east along the canal into the polders to Damme; rental points are scattered through the centre.
LAGO Brugge Olympia
Doornstraat 110 in Sint-Andries: a 50m ten-lane pool alongside a wave pool, three slides, a wild-water course, sauna and outdoor pools when the weather allows. Nearest stop is the Sint-Andries Zwembad bus stop.
