Estadio Malvinas Argentinas
Godoy Cruz play in the Argentine top flight at this park-side stadium built for the 1978 World Cup. The season runs through the calendar year.
Aconcagua season
Permits for the 6,960-metre summit are issued in Mendoza city and the climbing window runs roughly December to February. Trekking permits cost far less.
Ski the Andes
The lifts above Los Penitentes and Vallecitos turn from about June to September, two to three hours up the Ruta 7 from the city.
Rafting and paragliding
The Mendoza river runs from October to March with half-day trips at modest prices; tandem paragliding flies from the hills above Potrerillos in fair weather.
